Neuro's, MRI's , EAST, and Smoothies

I went to the Neuro last week, and she suggested having an MRI to rule out any anatomical issues like tumors or ischemic events. That happens tomorrow afternoon at 2:30. I am not expecting results immediately, but will post them as soon as I get them.

I attended East Austin Studio Tour this last weekend, and kept having intense memories of a screened-in porch... Nowhere I went had one, yet I knew I had seen it somewhere. I spent some time that day wondering where it was, and why I was remembering it, until I realized it was one of my Dream-like hallucinations. It is a nice porch!

I went to Central Market and got all kinds of wonderful ingredients to make smoothies in the am, in case low blood sugar for not eating all day is the culprit. Spinach, Blueberries, Whey Protein, Bee Pollen, Yogurt, Cacao nibs, Apple Juice, Spirulina, and some other goodies...

Visual Distortions

No episodes at all this week. However, I did have an interesting visual distortion just now. In the center of my visual field, a light geometric shape appeared as if I had been staring at a light. It grew for the next half an hour or so until it expanded itself out of my left visual field. Both eyes were "seeing" the same thing, but it only affected the left side. It was transparent, almost scintillating, and had geometric shapes....almost like looking through a Kaleidoscope. No other symptoms. No headache, no anxiety, no burning...

Had two more episodes last night while sitting on the patio with neighbors and friends. All wonderful people. Each of them have keys to my place now, thanks to Nick, and are ready to help should the need arise.
I called my primary physician this morning to see if she can pull some strings to get me in to see a neurologist before the 13th, when I have my appointment scheduled with Dr Briggs at UT Medical Center neurology dept. We'll see!
No more incidents today as of yet, but am feeling tingly and dizzy and a bit unfamiliar with my surroundings.

The beginning

On September 26th, 2009, I woke in the morning to a memory of the pattern of the wallpaper in my childhood bedroom. Immediately, Some Brazilian folk intruded on my consciousness, and panic set in. This happened repeatedly all day, into the evening--overlay of Brazileros onto my activities. I chalked it up to stress, and sleep deprivation.

The Brazilians

The main feature in each hallucination is the presence of Brazilians. I have no idea why this is the case, but I see people that I KNOW, but know I don't know, who happen to be Brazilian. There are about three men and three women each. Sometimes they come alone, or as a group, and one of them looks a lot like Tom Hanks. They never say anything, but I have somehow forgotten them, and we need to talk.
